Nicolò Grasso’s review published on Letterboxd:
Leave it to New Zealand to create a horror movie that is both cliched and original, scary and funny, predictable and surprising. You better watch it without knowing anything about it, except for one thing: the humor comes naturally from strange situations and believable reactions, not from on-the-nose jokes. Solid acting, good scares (with a couple fake-out jumpscares that did not work all that well). A pleasant surprise!
This is going to be the last movie I watch for the next couple of weeks. I will be working at an independent short film festival here in Italy. If anyone wants to know more details, feel free to ask! See you back in August.
