Nicolò Grasso’s review published on Letterboxd:
Rewatching Possessor with a friend, I did like this much more. I am still not 100% convinced about what Brandon Cronenberg's intentions really were, as the exploration of identity and loss of the self in the others surrounding them is visually-rich but thematically superficial, yet the sci-fi world he created felt much more lived-in this time around, and the Uncut version has gnarlier shots of gore and more explicit nudity that I didn't remember from the first viewing. Still excited to see what he comes up with next, I just hope he does not sacrifice a proper ending again for something more shocking in a shallow way.
P.S. Christopher Abbott has become one of my favorite actors working today, he OWNS this movie!
