One of the most polarizing and challenging movies I’ve ever seen. I loved Spring Breakers, and I really liked The Beach Bum, but Gummo might be my favourite of Korines repertoire (that I’ve seen). It’s no doubt the most unique. This is definitely not for everyone and most people probably won’t like, saying there’s no plot, or that random things just happen. I agree with this but that’s why I loved it. I like how challenging it was and how rewarded I felt in the end. The way Korine directs this is something unique in itself that I hadn’t really seen before. This is a movie I’ll need to say more then once and I definitely will.
