Very different from Lanthimos’s other work but possibly for the better, because it’s his funniest and most well rounded film. I love this movie so much. This was even better the second time. I love every shot of this from the production design, to the costumes is immaculate. Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz crush it as the supporting roles. I had no idea who to cheer for. Let’s be real though, Olivia motherfucking Coleman is the MVP here. Her performance is so funny yet so powerful. Every time she screams and throws a tantrum I don’t know whether to laugh or be scared. From start to finish I become enthralled with this film. I can’t wait to see Yorgos’s next film.
