Dune: Part Two 2024
A precision-crafted movie by a director I admire, perfectly-adapted from a book I grew up with. I can happily go back and revise my rating of the first movie, because part two entirely fulfilled the promise of part one.

Uh, yeah, I’ve heard the arguments and I get that this is meant to be SATIRE, but it is also just a bad movie. From Nomi’s first line of dialogue, I was already cringing. Is it capital-T True in holding up a mirror to society? Maybe. But it’s also capital-B Boring and capital-O Obvious, at least to my way of thinking.
