Katie ❄️’s review published on Letterboxd:
"I'm gonna die surrounded by the biggest idiots in the galaxy."
What I think this accomplishes:
-Weaponizes nostalgia via the soundtrack, the likes of which we hadn't seen since the seminal Sky High (2005)
-Balances the force, so to speak, in the MCU with a scrappy IP and plenty of goofy and irreverent moments
- Establishes the Endgame stakes by introducing Gamora and Nebula's relationship with Thanos
My problems with this are that I only care about Gamora and the humor works just about half the time for me. That's what prevents me from falling head over heels for this movie. It be like that sometimes.
