100 FILMS IN ONE SUMMER - FILM #90
I can’t really believe how much I cared about Sonny in this movie. I was expecting a movie about a heist gone wrong, but what I got was so much better. I loved its themes of rebelling against the system, sexual identity, and how public perception can change depending on someone’s sexual orientation. So far, from what I’ve seen, this is Pacino’s best performance.
