Abdulla Alsaleh’s review published on Letterboxd:
I rewatched this with my Dad, since it got released on Netflix the other day. What’s crazy is that I haven’t seen this movie in around two years, but I distinctly remembered every scene, and even while I remembered everything, Good Time was still just as anxiety inducing and chaotic as I remembered. The close-up heavy camerawork and the bright neon color palette are integrated as perfectly as DNA, and the authentic supporting cast blends just as well with Rob Pattinson’s amazing performance.
The Safdie Brothers are amazing, man. My dad thought that the movie was great, which I’m glad about. Hopefully we will both get to see Uncut Gems together soon, although I do slightly prefer Good Time for the complete absence of breathing room.
