  this movie is practically a live action coraline without the whimsical fantasy world, and way more gory. idk if kids were actually that violent in the 80s (?), but it definitely felt like finney could just never catch a break. someone screamed super loud during the first jump scare. the audience applauded twice by the end. the grabber made me so uncomfortable i felt nauseous lol
