    — “no. i thought of you.”

    was gonna make this review just “céline sciamma invented something, she actually invented love with this film” or maybe “she does it for the girls and the touch-starved gays” and call it a day but this film deserves at least a few paragraphs of me rambling semi-coherently

    first: those lines i quoted at the start..... not to be dramatic... but they killed me on the spot. like fully came through…

    no. sorry

    this had all the makings to be something phenomenal but somehow fucked it up. a dark comedy horror thriller about four girls trying to survive their town falling into violent chaos after a privacy leak; with main themes of addressing misogyny and transphobia and toxic masculinity? set in salem as a modern retelling of the witch trials? ok sounds brilliant . but this was not it !

    there were moments where i really tried to cling onto things…
