hands down the best movie of the year.
so impressive in scope and size while handling a subject matter so personal and intimate, it’s hard to believe people will be seeing this on tiny screens for their first time. if any film deserved the DUNKIRK “you must see this in IMAX dolby 70MM” treatment, it’s this film. yet... i can’t help but be happy at the complete accessibility this movie will have, and the lives it will most undoubtedly affect. all i ask is that those that pull it up on netflix have their volume on loud and are ready to be completely tossed and submerged by a story that is sprawling, haunting, and full of life.
