La La Land 2016
Not as head-over-heels as I was a few years ago. Still love a lot of the scenes. I do register more with the critics that said they’d like it better if the mains could sing and dance a bit better. And oddly the side dancers were all a bit too polished in a broadway kinda way. My big gripe though is with Ryan Goslings character- he’s fundamentally unlikeable and speaks like a stereotypical old Jewish grandma for…reasons?
