  • The House of the Devil

    1.The House of the Devil

We're starting the month off strong with this one! Grab some popcorn and get mentally prepared for this wild ride of a horror movie!

  • The Ring

    2.The Ring

Let's keep the momentum with this chilling classic from the early aughts.

  • Creepshow

This movie is perfect for the season. It's a fun-filled homage to horror comics brought to you by some of the most iconic horror masters: Stephen King and George A. Romero.

  • The Others

    4.The Others

What's really going on in this house? Follow Nicole Kidman as she unravels the truth about the ghosts haunting her.

  • Evil Dead

    5.Evil Dead

We know, we know. It's the remake. But hear us out... this remake is one of the better on a long list of horror remakes. The sheer bloodiness of this one is perfect to get you revved up for Halloween!

  • Evil Dead II

    6.Evil Dead II

Since we threw a curve ball with the yesterday's watch being a remake, we decided we'd take it back to the classics with arguably the best installment of this franchise. Will Ash defeat the Evil this time around?

  • Hellraiser

Hulu will be releasing the Hellraiser Reboot on October 7th! Will you be watching?

  • The Village

    8.The Village

    M. Night Shyamalan gets a lot of flack for his movie "twists", but we think The Village sets the perfect tone for an October night in!

  • Children of the Corn

    9.Children of the Corn

"He wants you too Malachi." It sends chills down my spine every time! Are you a follower of The One Who Walks Behind The Rows?

  • The Blair Witch Project

    10.The Blair Witch Project

Regarded as the pioneer of found-footage horror, this movie was an instant hit all over the country. The eerie forest atmosphere is perfect for Fall.

  • It Follows

    11.It Follows

This movie shook horror fans when it first hit theaters. Everything from the score to the atmosphere to the performances make this movie an unforgettable one. We had to give it a slot on our watchlist.

  • The Sixth Sense

    12.The Sixth Sense

Yes, we added another M. Night Shyamalan movie to the list. But only because it's iconic and helps set the gloomy tone for the season.

  • Sleepy Hollow

    13.Sleepy Hollow

Tim Burton has a few movies under his belt that belong on everyone's October watchlist. For us, it's Sleepy Hollow. Don't let the Headless Horseman get you!

  • Village of the Damned

    14.Village of the Damned

We all know John Carpenter is a Master of Horror, but not everyone has seen this remake of the 19060 sci-fi gem "Village of The Damned". Critically panned and a box office failure, this is one of our favorites for the Halloween Season!

  • Ginger Snaps

    15.Ginger Snaps

We wanted to dedicate a few days of the month to the ladies of Horror. We're starting off strong with Ginger Snaps. A delightfully frightening coming-of-age that'll leave wanting more.

  • May

Keeping up with the Femme Fatale theme, we've got May. If you've never seen this movie then you're in for a real treat. Not exactly Horror, but absolutely deserves a spot on the list. Angela Bettis gives a phenomenal performance as the titular character in desperate search of companionship. How far is she willing to go to find it?

  • The Craft

    17.The Craft

Everyone loves The Craft. If you don't, you're wrong. That's all there is to it.

  • The Slumber Party Massacre

    18.The Slumber Party Massacre

Not enough people keep Slumber Party Massacre in the 80s slasher conversation. If you haven't seen it yet, now is the perfect opportunity!

  • Phantasm

Phantasm is an amazing movie! A fantastic blend of horror and sci-fi! We had to add it to our list.

  • The Crow

    20.The Crow

Hot Topic Millennials rejoice! It's time again to break out your DVD copy of The Crow. This movie is iconic amongst those who subscribe to the dark and melancholy. Again, not exactly horror but definitely worth putting on our list!

  • Practical Magic

    21.Practical Magic

As we get closer to Halloween, we decided to ease back on the chills and thrills in favor of a few titles that are a bit more family friendly. This rom-com full of withcraft and heartbreak is sure to make any October slumber party a memorable one.

  • It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

22.It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Let's keep the family-friendly theme rolling with this iconic Halloween masterpiece. If you haven't seen it, ask your parents. I'm sure they've seen it at least once.

  • Monster House

    23.Monster House

We've still got a few more family-friendly watches to pile through before we get to the big night! This Imageworks animated feature will have you howling with laughter!

  • The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald: Scared Silly

24.The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald: Scared Silly

This is one of my personal favorites. Some of you older folks may remember when McDonald's used to sell VHS tapes. This was their Halloween special and in my humble opinion, stands the test of time! Also, how can you not love an animated feature crafted by the Klasky Csupo studio? - Matt

  • Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!

    25.Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!

Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? He's having one hell of a Halloween night! Join the Mystery Inc gang as they solve the Halloween mysteries one by one.

  • Casper

Christina Ricci. That's all we have to say about this movie. And that should be enough.

  • Hocus Pocus

    27.Hocus Pocus

Obviously, we had to add this to the list. What Halloween season would be complete without at least ONE viewing of Hocus Pocus? The Divine Miss M would be deeply offended if you skipped this one.

  • All Hallows' Eve

    28.All Hallows' Eve

4 Days left. Let's kick things back into high gear with a viewing of All Hallow's Eve. This gruesome anthology film spawned the horrific Art the Clown, who nobody wants to run into in a dark alley. Make sure you have a cuddle buddy for this one. You're gonna need it.

  • Bram Stoker's Dracula

    29.Bram Stoker's Dracula
