Bad Boys For Life brought Will Smith & Martin Lawrence back to a franchise that hadn't been visited since 2003 and it picks up right where the franchise left off (except for Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi replacing Michael Bay in the director's chair) and this continues to be a dependable franchise.
The storyline continues to be cliche cop action movie and is predictable in where the story will go (as was its predecessors) but Smith and Lawrence continue this great chemistry with each other and it's obvious they are just having a fun time in this movie. The action has this great energy to it, the story moves so fast and the inclusion of age catching up to both the guys just added complexity to the overall film. Throw in continuing story elements from the two previous films and this becomes just a great time at the cinema.
While not a perfect film and while also a very cliche film, Bad Boys For Life fits well in this world established by the 1995 original and is just a lot of fun.
