It’s not great and it can be silly in places but it really sets the mood well and it’s great to see such a gothic themed movie.

Amazing make-up and prop design help to highlight the incredible performance that Jeff Goldblum gave. More than 30 years later you still get sucked into the story and believe the unbelievable. The story is gripping and the only real complaint I have is that the baby is not addressed by the end of the movie, but that is just a nitpick obviously.

It is just The Matrix with vampires and werewolves but that is pretty cool.

“Oh no we accidentally killed an innocent person because we thought they were the evil being” is my absolute least favorite horror trope.

An absolute triumph for the genre and for animated movies. This easily stands with the big super hero movies of the year and maybe even above all the rest. Stan Lee RIP.

Bold and bleak this movie is not what was advertised. It literally looks you in the eye and tells you how bad it is and how it’s our fault. It’s a must watch.

Probably the first comic book movie to wholeheartedly embrace its source material rather than trying to alter it for general audiences (Thor Ragnarock was a massive leap in this direction but seems tame compared to this). The direction was brilliant and the visuals were out of this world. The villains were fantastic. It just felt like a triumph.
