Justin Landsman’s review published on Letterboxd:
Rosemary's Baby by way of subversive modern horror comedy, Ready or Not is a blast from start to finish. It's one of the rare horror comedies where the humor adds to the horror, adding a sense of realism to the carnage. Not only that, it's a fantastic biting satire on class, wealth, and trust that leaves you uneasy and always second guessing just as protagonist Grace, played by Samara Weaving, does in the film. Everyone in the cast perfectly chews the scenery like there's no tomorrow, but Weaving is the true standout and shows herself to be a true horror badass. The film also has a surprising amount of emotional heft behind the situations that the characters are put in, further making it feel all the more real even when it gets wonderfully campy and over the top. Ready or Not is a film that isn't on a lot of people's radars but really should be. It's suspenseful, scary, funny, and whip smart and I'm never gonna forget about it.
