Much to digest, but the takes I’m seeing that this valorizes the man behind the most atrocious event of human history feel like disingenuous reads. Nor does the word “complicated” seem sufficient. Of course the tortured genius, Promethean mythology is in the foreground and is clearly in many ways a proxy for himself, but Nolan makes no attempt to conceal the horror not just of the event (this much is evident) but of the idea that a moral objective cannot compete…
