Maggie G is mesmerizing. Jeff is so convincing and sad and I get why he got the Oscar!! I loved the ending. This movie does a great job subverting expectations; I gasped out loud more

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World 2010
finally watched this after years of being told it’s incredible. And honestly there were a lot of super fun moments but it was super overshadowed by really disgusting racist “jokes” and other outdated ideas that left a very bad taste in my mouth. Instead of developing Knives into an interesting character, they just make her a Chinese 17 year old, and that’s all they joke about in regard to her. It’s not funny and it’s boring. Idk, I am just very disappointed. The story was original and unique and this really just ruined it for me.
