WARNING: if you are epileptic please do not watch this. I say this because they put up a warning for about 2 seconds right before the movie starts. Not enough time to think about it and leave if you actually can't handle the lights and/ or sounds. I am not epileptic but all of that did sorta give me a headache which is partly why I'm pissed at this movie as is.

If it wasn't so..... trippy, then I might…

    Tom & Jerry

A cartoon that I grew up on that I am currently re-watching on Boomerang (the app) is making a comeback for future generations. Not much of an homage to the original stuff so I guess they don't want kids to know this was a really good cartoon from back in like the 50s and 60s ect.

Great job on the animation of the characters but how do you take something that usually lasts 10 minutes an episode and turn it…

  • Soul

Pixar knocked it out of the park again.

Music really has NOTHING to do with this film just as an FYI. But... they do a very good visual interpretation of what your lifes purpose is/ might be. It even feels like they picked a good time to release this with all the crap 2020 has been throwing our way.

And it's so lighthearted in fact that young kids 5-13 can watch this and understand it without question.

    The Art of Self-Defense

    Dark and compelling.

What do you do when life hands you lemons? I watched a man find the answer to this exact question although you replace lemons with a good ass kicking and the loss of a lovely dauchsun. How does one deal with loss, pain and suffering? Do you just grin and bear it or is it much more absolute than that? This film asks all these questions and right at the end you have a split second to answer. Or the answer is presented to you.

    Incredibles 2

The trailers made this seem very female heavy which I guess I wouldn't have minded but the balance was good. Sorry but I figured out early on who the bad person was in this film. Not saying it was a bad thing but just how noticable it was. Still a solid superhero cookie cutter story line but it works! This is the movie where you start at point A and finish at point B with no fuss in between.

    Great for the kids.

    The Queen's Gambit

Something about that hair choice really threw me off and I apologize because I don't know why. Very beautiful job on the editing because even in the scenes where the intensity swells it still manages to slow down enough for you to be able to follow along. Especially when I'm not a chess player.

    Mission: Impossible - Fallout

This whole time I thought I was watching Katie Holmes but it was in fact Michelle Monaghan which makes me feel like an idiot but, oh well. I almost screamed because of how well this was written with that twist.

Didnt see the whole thing because I came in late while this was on TV.

    Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

What started out as a great franchise becomes slowly a bad idea. You had to add extra to the backstory because it wasn't already good enough? I guess I'm just picky about unnecessary details. Keep it simple, stay on point.

Great visuals. Nice designs on new types of dinosaurs.

Blue being extra responsive to human interaction is hard to get behind. Like I said, keep it simple. I hope the new one comes out better with someone taking their time on things.

  • Sorry to Bother You

    Sorry to Bother You

This is what happens when a black person uses their "white voice." Its an interesting take on racism mixed with capitalism and how selling out can destroy who you really are inside. The lights going on and off in the main characters apartment was a nice touch.

What's nice is you can even take the antagonist (WorryFree) and replace it with any real company like Walmart or Target. It's just a great metaphor for letting money drive us into making…

    The Founder

No mention of the clown? Odd choice of song to finish out the credits with. Sad story, very brutal but written out well in this film.
