lover of both rom-coms and horror
don't ask me to explain how that makes sense
"don't humans say 'love knows no bounds?'"
"that's always been a lie."
this was delightful 🤍
there are so many comparisons to her (2013) in terms of premise and themes, but i do think this takes a new spin on the human + ai relationship sub-genre. this is exactly the type of sci-fi i like (very subtle) and has such a sweet rom-com format. i loved it.
the dry humor worked for me, i liked the chemistry between the two…
i have a really soft spot for movies like this. ones that are simple stories, but show realistic characters and the relationships that they have with others. ones that are about people who are desperate to be shown love, and then they meet someone who understands them.
as a future teacher, this movie really hit home for what that means to me. that i'll get to meet wonderful, smart, talented students and go through a bit of their life with them. to show them they're loved, no matter what.
