This is cute but I lament the relative lack of James Cromwell this time around.
Constant traveler George Clooney begins to question his self imposed isolation and avoidance of personal relationships. Reitman’s film is a smart comedy with some fantastic writing and a set of great performances from Clooney, Vera Farmiga, and revelatory newcomer Anna Kendrick. Looking more and more confident behind the camera with each film, Reitman is poised to be an important cinematic voice for years to come. "Up in the Air" finds a wonderful balance between laughs and a sense that these characters are real people, stumbling through life just like the rest of us. An admirable film.
