emma thompson in this film reminded me of so many women in my life so i think im biased in that realm.. one of the greats tbh. but besides that, jason & bj are great in their supporting roles & thomas newman returns with a typically pleasant, though not too unique score. i think this movie fails in respect to the flashback scenes, which chop up the pacing of the film and could've been much shorter without losing their content. other than that it was cute and interesting, though as it always is with biopics, further research shows various inconsistencies that if corrected would have given the viewer a much less interesting story. but i digress.
