Tenet ★★★★

Nolan still doesn't know how human beings talk or how to write dialogue, so it's honestly good that he's stopped trying. People have complained that this is nothing but exposition but honestly that's what I like about it; the fun of Nolan's films at this point is in his concepts and learning the film's mechanics so it's fine that this movie is basically a cycle of (1) setting up rules, (2) spectacular setpiece using those rules, (3) repeat. I'm fine with that! Nevermind Branagh's hammy villain and Debicki's underwritten emotional core, just enjoy the inventive visuals and elaborate action pieces.
