The Imitation Game ★★★★

Solid dramatic historical thriller about a group of codebreakers led by Alan Turing, genius mathematician who is a closeted homosexual. The film balances three interconnected narratives within Turing's tortured life quite well, and Benedict Cumberbatch slips into the role perfectly, with great chemistry with Keira Knightley's Joan character. Turing's genius is balanced with social awkwardness and the tragedy of the previous generations view on homosexuality as an illegal act.
