    Peck is terrific and should have worn the mustache more. I only wish it would have built to a more substantial climax. Not that it needed to be action packed, but the suspense sort of fizzles gradually.

    For a minute I was into it. This is baffling, though I can see the connection with Cronicle. 

    Trash version of Doom and I don’t really even care that much. I can imagine real fans of the material not loving the absolutely EMBARRASSING decisions made here.

    Yes it’s interminably long for no real reason and yes it’s incredibly emo, but goddamn if it’s impossible to turn away from. Even in its most self serious moments. Love the dreamy soft focus touch to many of the scenes. Love the detective elements and the entire wet vibe. Love that the big car chase has penguin stuck in immovable traffic. Love that The Riddler is some 4chan troll with 500 followers. 

    Did not love much of the Catwoman subplot, which might have been better in a sequel. 

    Seems the main theme is too many characters in Gotham have metaphorical and sometimes literal wings.

    No matter what you think of Tom Cruise, the guy is dedicated to making movies the way they used to. He is trying his best to save the day in his movies and save the movie theaters in the process.

    This is magical, it’s almost hard to explain for anyone who hasn’t seen it and has, at the very least, a small affinity for the original. All the nostalgia is handled perfectly. The moments with Iceman are touching and so…
