  Awful. Nonsensical plot, terrible acting, no scares, and aggressively stupid. One or two OK cliche horror shots don't do anything to elevate this from the very bottom rungs of low budget horror.

  Rewatch: I want to love this film as a Disney fan, a Lin Manuel Miranda fan, and a fan of animation. But it never gets there, despite gorgeous visuals and a couple of wonderful songs.

  While Moana is the best version of the modernized Disney princess, her story can't keep up with Elsa's, Judy's, or even Hiro's.

  The best Disney films choke me up; this one says "good tunes, great visuals."
