Perfect Blue 1997
It’s incredible this movie was made in 1997. Absolutely mindblowingly just... perfect. There were a lot of elements and themes that reminded me of some modern movies I’ve seen, and I feel like maybe they took some inspiration from this movie. Also the animation is just beautiful. The flow of the animation and the story work so well together. The way it builds suspense along with the music was nerve wracking. Incredible cinematography. I can’t say enough good things about this movie. Definitely up there with Ghost In the Shell as one of my favorite animation movies. 💙💙💙

Avengers: Infinity War 2018
Right as Thanos snapped, a girl left the theater (presumably to go to the bathroom or something) she came back right as the credits started and asked her family “what happened?”

Waiting for the credits to finish to see the post-credit scene, I could hear people talking and laughing. I don’t understand how you could possibly be in a mood for laughing after watching this movie.

A Quiet Place 2018
Oh my fucking god this movie. It fucked me up. Never before have I felt like I’ve held my breath for 90 minutes straight. I think I was hyperventilating on the walk back to my car. It took me a while to catch my breath and relax and loosen up all my tense muscles. This movie was an experience. Also John Krasinski’s character’s name is Lee so that’s pretty cool. Not that anyone would have known until it was in the credits.

Love, Simon 2018
“Love, Simon” more like I love Simon. Because I loved this movie. It’s such a great coming of age story, reminded me a bit of “Edge of Seventeen”. Overall the cast was really good, a lot of recognizable faces, but Nick Robinson who played the main character really did a great job. More than a few scenes standout where his acting really exceeded my expectations. Although I haven’t seen any of his other movies he’s been in ( I should…

Annihilation 2018
This might be the coolest movie I’ve ever seen. The Visuals, the music, the story, so cool.

The Greatest Showman 2017
I absolutely loved this movie. Had me in tears from beginning to end. Incredible soundtrack. I love Hugh Jackman. Zendaya and Zac Efron were incredible. Going in I had no idea what to expect, this blew me away. What a movie to end 2017.
