Pedro Almodóvar's latest film PAIN AND GLORY, takes a very personal look into what it's like to be a filmmaker and how that desire to be one is something that begins early in life. We see Salvador Mallo (Antonio Banderas, with a career-best performance) deal with his current life situation, depressed and not able to work due to physical ailments, by reflecting back on his childhood. Almodóvar brings us such a beautiful film. It's vibrant with colour and some humour. The final scene of this film is just perfection. Wow.
