Leey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Top-notch De Niro and stellar direction by Scorcese who always brings it and always had it, but I have many issues with the smaller arcs. The whole Betsy date thing, how Travis is supposedly distant from his co-workers yet asks advice to Wizard?
Solid film throughout, but in terms of post-Vietnam and PTSD stuff, I've seen and read far better. I equate my feelings to exactly how I feel about J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye. Understandly groundbreaking when it was released, but better versions/interpretations of the subject have emerged since then.
