Did not really know what this was about going in and truly though he was kidnapped by Russian spies. Developing schizophrenia is something that I have been paranoid about since I learned about it. This was almost more of a horror to me because of my worries. However, I did really enjoy the movie it kept me interested and engaged throughout. I also really love any type of media set on a college campus and anything to do with STEM is even better, even if it is mostly just math.

Everything that was “Under the Sea” so to speak was off and I’m not sure why it just didn’t look right. The scenes on land were great! I think Ariel and Eric were very well developed and I liked there relationship here a lot more than in the animated film. Favorite part was the market scene and the dancing that followed, absolutely beautiful. Flounder and Sebastian were less than stellar and half the time it felt like a disembodied voice speaking to Ariel. Scuttlebutt was the lowest point (aside from Daveed Diggs’s couple seconds) Not the worst “live action” remake I’ve seen.

I don’t know how to feel about this I think a lot of it got lost in the early 2000’s of it all. I was laughing when I really shouldn’t have been. I definitely had some strong emotions. If anyone was actually this wild in seventh grade I would like to know cuz holy cow. Definitely captures some aspects of being a girl in middle school.

Beautiful movie. It made me laugh and cry at the same time. While Otto was the main character I think Marisol stole the show. Honestly might just as good as the book. I’m curious to see the original movie.
