Saw this one a couple days ago as it finally released in uk cinemas and I don’t really know how to feel about it
I just want to say this is hands down the best production and stance on romeo and Juliet I have ever seen and trust me I’ve seen a few.
- I don’t know if it was the quirky set design done to such a artistic way meeting ancient Verona and art house street layout
- or the incredibly paced acting that all of the ensemble delivered without thought but with strength and character two upcoming and rising starts gave chillingly great performances
Overall I loved this and how it embraced theatre in a time where theatre is missing
Anticipation and hype does not describe my excitement for this!
Denis long awaited adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-if masterpiece is something out of a dream, to say I pinched myself multiple times whilst seeing this is an understatement, and I got too see this 5 days early which is a massive privilege and I feel so lucky to have seen it already.
