    Get Out


    A noble effort for debutant director Jordan Peele, who masterfully crafts dreamlike imagery with raw, unrelenting violence. Whilst not as racially intricate as the trailer suggests, "Get out" still manages to live up to being an imaginative and fun 100 minutes of humour and jumps. Convincing performances and a riveting score round out the compact thriller that poses questions about trust and deception. It still could've been so much more, and I felt it could've taken the insanity to the next level, but it still is so much better than the average modern horror film.

    "The Jungle Book" definitely isn't terrible, but it certainly isn't anything special. The beautiful look of the film could only be brought down by the cliche and predictability of the narrative and the boring way Disney chooses to tell (and retell) or, more suitably, "sell" and "resell" their stories.
