The Red Point of Marriage 2022
Genuinely, it has been years since a relationship drama has managed to tug my heart in and rip it apart. Without so much of the cliched and redundant yelling scenes, this film opts to let itself tread their breath just enough for us to notice irregularities. Every little thing that looks or sounds or feels normal in plain sight begins to serve as a ticking time bomb. The tension slowly resides and builds itself a temporary homestead to serve us…

Aruna & Her Palate 2018
Yeah, one of my absolute favourites this year. What a fun, enjoyable film that brings both my hunger and my concerns over the state of corruption in our country. All four of the leads turn it the fuck out. Dian Sastro is channeling Greta Gerwig's quirks in this one.
