Okay so I went for the ‘just go with it and enjoy the ride’ the first time but this time around I couldn’t help but think what is the point in making it this so complicated if you’re not going to provide an emotional tie? Maybe if it had a more impactful conclusion it would work? And Kenneth Branagh is not the right choice for the villain. It’s fun, I still had a good time, it’s break-neck pace is both the film’s blessing and it’s curse, the set pieces do look great, Washington & Pattinson ooze pure liquid chemistry, but I struggled to engage more this time due to it’s lack of emotion. I know that’s a me problem but hey ho.
Also, they 100% just lowered the volume from the last time I saw this and it was a lot less distracting.
