Being a sucker for films of this style, notably Blue Valentine, I adored Like Crazy. Yelchin and Jones are perfect, the music is lovely and the cinematography at times is beautiful. It's slow paced, heartfelt and raw. But granted, it's not for all.
Like many others, Drive was my top film of 2011 and slipped straight into my top 10 favourite films. Gosling's incredible, it's beautifully crafted and features one of last years best soundtracks. I cannot praise it highly enough.
Despite a refreshing change of cast and some visually impressive set pieces, nothing can shake the feeling of a sinking franchise. Go in with low expectations though and it should be a fun enough romp.
