Libby Caldwell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Australia actually got this in cinemas as early as July and it was a brilliant experience so once it returned for encore screenings I couldn’t wait to see it again.
I loved it even more this time, so much so that I’m bumping up my rating to the full five stars that I think it deserves and moving it to the number 1 place in my 2019 rankings.
This time I could really view the story and all of its characters as a whole which is hard to do the first time due to it’s large scope of characters, themes and ideas in general.
The house is one of the best sets I’ve ever seen. It actually becomes a character of its own which is an amazing feat.
At the end of the day, nothing I can say about it can do it justice but I’m in complete admiration of Bong Joon-ho and think he is genuinely one of the best artists of the past decades, and it saddens me that he is not a household name.
