this is number one on the list of films with an amazing cast that completely wastes them. so so bad, that i had lots of fun! i couldn’t believe i was seeing something so ridiculous with my own eyes. the story is very interesting, but the execution is completely disappointing. with all that being said, michael fassbender still owns me.
we’re kappas, we don’t eat cupcakes
wow. this film just worked! although a little cliché at times, it manages to have some fun twists and turns. without a doubt, one of the best lead performances this year from the hilarious jessica rothe. she has fantastic comedic timing and a face capable of so many different expressions. mixing slasher and comedy could easily go wrong, but this was a good time from start to finish.
the breakout performance of this film is by far the soundscape. simple things like footsteps, dropping a glass, ringing a doorbell, etc. became terrifying.
incredible acting performances all around. michelle pfeiffer delivers with a presence that sticks around even when she's not on screen. and jennifer lawrence is stunning, as always.
claustrophobia in film form and an experience that you won't forget. the atmosphere becomes more and more tense throughout then finally everything just goes to absolute hell.
not everyone will like this. most people probably won't like this, but this is definitely worth a watch.
this film literally dedicated about 20 minutes to something so repulsive and rapey and maybe that’s supposed to be funny to some people. ick.
julianne moore was great, but that’s because she’s always great. this film mostly just wasted all of the talent they cast. severely underused the new characters.
channing’s bulge is the real mvp and i would’ve rather watched that for two hours than whatever the hell i just watched.
