What CAN’T you light a cigarette on?

This was a delight. Unsettling and fun. Watchable but made me squirm. Perfectly weird and beautifully done.

I thought this was genuinely so funny the whole time. Especially very impressed with the action sequence in the church lol! Reminded me of Buffy.

I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t care! Just grab me by the shoulders, look me in the eyes, call me angel, and shoot the man who’s blackmailing me for the murder my sister committed. Stunning and weird. So many beautiful ladies.

I think this is the scariest movie ever? No one talks about how scary Buffalo Bill is!! I can’t believe it took me so long to watch this. It’s as good as they say! I didn’t even realize I was watching on the 30th anniversary of its premiere. Chefs kiss.

It is corny and I liked it. I was entertained and impressed by this movie. I think acting, aesthetics, and practical effects are right on! I don’t like seeing movies that touch on Native American stories with no dialogue or perspective from nonwhite characters though. It just rubs me the wrong way. Also, why was he hyping up those guys with the newspaper? I totally respect them unionizing, but get the child home first? Idk man lol

So beautiful! One of the first Miyazaki movies I’ve ever seen. I feel like a fraud since I fell asleep at the end. But what I did see I loved! Great voice acting as well. I could watch it forever.

Theranos meets Sorry To Bother You? Girl boss culture! Quite a romp in potential anti-capitalist propaganda, but the themes sometimes feel vague and mixed. I definitely had a good time. Big shoutout to the costumes department and I the hair team on this one.

They did not fuck around they gave me what I wanted - is she crazy? Is she right? Nah she’s wrong. No waffling. They went and CGId it baby. It kept me guessing in a way I enjoyed. I enjoyed the way they weren’t afraid to gradually get wilder with the magical realism of it all. Disillusionment with partying and searching for a higher purpose never looked so psychotic lmao, but I see where she’s coming from!?

Wowww I forgot how much I wanted to exist in the reality of this movie and how much it shaped my idea of “fantasy.” It’s so funny still!! Only now do I appreciate Billy Crystal and Carol Lane’s unhinged performance (didnt know who they were as a child). An excellent rewatch.
