gavin’s review published on Letterboxd:
Mulholland Drive has more of a plot than most of Lynch’s other work... but that strangely only makes it harder to follow. at some points it even kind of felt like Twin Peaks with the jumping back and forth between different narratives that seem to have nothing to do with each other but eventually all collide together
when I’m watching his other films, I know that it isn’t supposed to make perfect sense. with this one, I felt like I was so close! I was so close to seeing a cohesive story and understanding what was happening! but alas I didn’t get there.. and I blame myself!
still lots of fun though. it gets spooky, it gets funny, it gets steamy. and Billy Ray Cyrus says this movie is what led to Miley becoming Hannah Montana (and also what led him on a path to being attacked by Satan)! fun for the whole family!
