A hyper and psychosexual blending of De Palma's trademark pastiched Hitchcockian style with further elements of a sleazy and exploitative low-budget 70s giallo. Not too dissimilar from his other works, though nowhere near as focused, complete and brilliant, since this one solely relies on stylistic excellence given the nonsensical, albeit predictable, plot. Absolutely loved the first 20 minutes though.

The Bad Sleep Well 1960
Kurosawa's meticulous style in pitch-black film noir setting, inarguably darker than its Hollywood inspirations, though unfortunately dragging on a few occasions.

"I'm not listening to Papa fucking Roach on the day i'm gonna kill myself."
A brilliant mixing of numerous dark-comedic and emotionally relatable elements with adequate and consistent tonal shifts, all whilst being highly focused and always very much self-aware of what kind of movie it wants to be.
