Sean Baker’s review published on Letterboxd :
Visceral to say the least. I was reluctant to watch thinking that this would just be a compilation of tragic car crash recordings but it rises above that. Sometimes the clip is about the landscape, the weather or the conversation taking place in the car. And the car radio acts as a score in many of the clips.
Yes, there are tragic and disturbing clips, yet there are moments of levity and even catharsis (especially after the close calls). The locked perspective of the objective dashboardcam forces the viewer to imagine what is happening outside the frame and those miracle-like close calls left me thinking about chance and fate.
Please note: some extremely disturbing images.
