  Has a movie ever been saved more by its production design? Aside from David, the story and characters all range from thin to baffling. What is Idris Elba's accent? How is the map guy the one who gets lost? Why is the biologist trying to pet a giant space snake? But it all looks so amazing that I no longer care it's not really an ALIEN movie.

  The new setting and lack of some major “legacy” characters made this feel so fresh and really revitalized while also nodding to SCREAM 2 a lot. Love the twins, they really made me invested even more so than the Carpenter sisters.
