Day of Soldado throws away all the great elements of Sicario. Right from the get go Sicario has an ominous feeling that never ceases as the story unfolds. Not to mention, Emily Blunt was incredible. However, Day of Soldado drastically changes the main characters, and takes away those ruthless characteristics that were present in the first one. While Day of Soldado is interesting, it only serves to water down the horrors that exist in the world of Mexican cartels.
