Best film I've seen in a while, and I'd dare say best Murakami adaptation I've seen so far.
This story is one of my favorite Murakami short stories so I was a bit afraid the film wouldn't be as good, but it was better than anything I expected. The filmmaker has this special touch. It's so obvious he's playful and childish and light souled. His use of colors and of random daily life photographs put together to form a moving background, the comedically approached story, it was all just beautiful.
It sent me into a journey to discover all of his films.
