I'm at a loss of words as far as my reaction goes with this film.
To no one's surprise this is absolutely a masterpiece. One with brilliant direction, score, and of course Robert De Niro in his prime. Throughout my time in college as a film major I was constantly told how brilliant this film was( so I assume that's why I put off watching it). Out of Scorsese's filmography this ranks second just below Goodfellas out of the ones I've seen.
This could easily fall into the category of film bro classics for it's rawness and violence. To me -- I was far more invested in the slice of life character piece featured in this movie.
