I very much enjoyed this. I was so worried that The Post would be simply Oscar bait without any substance or reason. While it is reaching out for the Academy's attention, it's a movie that has legs to stand on. The story is relatable, especially in 2018, with performances that add another layer to the film. Even though it's not one that is absolutely groundbreaking - it's solid. There is a moment in this movie where Meryl says the word "however" and every part of me got excited because I knew that small line was about to bring on a wonderful Streep scene. The process of making the paper was also very satisfying to watch.
