    The Purge

Predictable and waste of an opportunity with the purge itself, the home invasion could’ve been better since that’s the route they took.. but i liked the dynamic between the family and the homeless character that came to be towards the end.

how can you turn a film about kidnapping and murder into a quirky and charming film?? Who you gonna call?? the coen brothers.

frances mcdormand showed up  half way and took the oscar and deserved.

  • Maid

what amazing and emotional series exploring series topics and making you feel every bit of along the way. Binged watched it in one day!

    great anime! loved it!

  • Eternals

I personally loved this. With no focus on being a hard tie in to the other MCU stories and heroes, Chloé Zhao is able to craft a standalone meditative sci-fi EPIC that DEFINITELY has her sensibilities and instead of focusing on action pieces she goes for a more emotional approach, focusing on her characters' relationships and morals (some very questionable) while also asking questions about why is humanity here and what is the purpose of our creation on this planet??…

There’s still the pin drop moments he’s well known for but he also incorporates other interesting and colorful elements from Repulsion, and Gillao elements that help it stick out amidst its own genre. The performances are also really well done, especially from the two leading ladies. The plot does…

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

I think something was really entertaining here but it was just a middling experience for me, lack of any horrifying energy. First film is still the best in this series and that hasn’t been recaptured by any of the films in this franchise.

Beautiful and simple storytelling. The human connection is something extremely  complex.

  • Dune

I was looking forward to this film for the longest, after so many delays, it’s finally here and i have watched DUNE! I wanted to allow myself to have time to think before rushing to “write a letterboxd” review or share my thoughts which i think this moreso of me doing than a “review.”

DUNE was an enthralling experience for me, i was brought into the world and i was interested in it, invested it actually moreso than any of…
