    The Insider

beautiful pictures. the scariest villain in this is the scariest one yet. and to note my favorite quote; “No, you fucked YOU. Don’t invert stuff.” and this is one of Mann’s finest.

  • Titane

i'm not locked in here with you... you're locked in here with ME!

  • Venom: Let There Be Carnage

    Venom: Let There Be Carnage

so many good ideas, so sloppily executed. it felt more self-realized in looks and direction than its predecessor but felt lackluster in every point it set out. the 90-minute runtime hurt the movie, although i have to admit, i was a few minutes late to the film, so i’ll watch this again but i’m not expecting to love it. i’m still happy this movie exists because it delivered the most fantastic teaser and the most bedazzling two trailers, which i’ll cherish more than the film itself.

  • The Long Goodbye

    The Long Goodbye

yeah i was right when i fancasted Elliott Gould as 1970s Batman

  • Injustice

shallow take on its video game counterpart. though i appreciate how it doesn't waste your time and just ended up an 80 minute long animated adaptation with a decent pacing but what REALLY made it for me was its Batman, who is the CUTEST thing in this. less like BATman and more DOBERMANman. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE HIM??????

  • Tenet

totally a masterpiece. i can’t stress enough how good this film is. except for some reason, there’s LOTS of goofs in it, and i can’t shake them out of my head but i can admit how that’s a me problem. also love how i keep learning new things from these rewatches. this is my third. this film happens to have some of my favorite action set pieces in… any movie out there… along with The Dark Knight. also Tenet is drop-dead gorgeous a LOT.

dialogue more audible in the home release…

  • Holy Motors

    Holy Motors

beauty! beauty! beauty! that guy cracked me up. Holy Motors is great and it progressively gets better. love Denis Lavant.

  • Crash

undoubtedly crazy and surprisingly lives up to its title. literally, as a matter of fact. the cast is horny, Cronenberg is horny, i’m horny.
    Crash is indisputably cool.

  • Blue Velvet

    Blue Velvet

it looks beautiful, it reads hilarious, and overall it is satisfying

  • No Time to Die

    No Time to Die

not good. the few stars i’m giving this movie is for its opening credits (and it transitioned very nicely), the action sequences, the nice cinematography and the concept of No Time To Die’s plot. rest is garbage. a villain with a motivation as if the movie was supposed to be 3 hours long (as if it didn’t feel like a drag already). release the Fukunaga cut? i can’t even find myself caring about this movie enough to campaign for that. also the ending itself was trash. what a sad goodbye party. i wish i saw Denis Villeneuve’s Dune again instead.

  • The Lighthouse

    The Lighthouse

i have to say, The Lighthouse is VERY gorgeous. needless to say, it is incredibly good and there was not a single frame that had gone by without me thinking “this movie is as crazy as Robert Eggers is”.
