    Alice Cooper: Brutally Live

    ★★★★★

Thankfully, Alice leaves behind the soft-cock-rock of the Trash era, slaps on the make-up and brings back his horror theatrics updated with a grimy, post-apocalyptic edge. There's a fair scattering of tracks from Brutal Planet, which is fine by me, but the majority are well-played old favourites.

    The Passion of the Christ

    ★★

In which Thulsa Doom captures Conan (who for some reason is now the son of a carpenter and not a blacksmith), has him crucified on the Tree of Woe and left for the birds to peck at his flesh.

For some reason this version is missing the ending where Conan frees himself, infiltrates the palace and kills Thulsa Doom during one of his cannibalistic orgies.

    Fucking remakes!

Everything is black and white, the hero does what needs to be done to save the day and if the brass at City…

I know I've been absent for a few weeks but my wife has had another Multiple Sclerosis relapse and is due to go back into hospital for another course of treatment - it's the same chemotherapy as they give leukaemia patients. Plus I've had to do a load of construction/carpentry work on my daughters bedroom and other assorted shit. Anyway, I thought I should at least try to get back into the swing of things and what better than the…
