Gary Hollingsbee’s review published on Letterboxd:
Fascinatingly weird encounter between something inexplicable and a small group of characters working on the fringes of the Hollywood movie industry. The main plot involving horse-wrangler OJ and his sister, Emerald, is engaging enough but is oddly combined with a strange sub-plot presenting the unsettling effect of a traumatic incident on former child actor, Ricky. Although the plot is straightforward enough and it’s very clear what happens, I was still left with the sense of What on Earth was that all obout? Much like I have with similar horror movies like Shults’ It Comes at Night or Villeneuve’s Enemy.
